04 Legal Basis for Processing

taraplay processes your personal data on the following legal bases under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) and applicable regulations:

• Contractual necessity: Processing is necessary to perform the contract between you and taraplay — i.e., to provide you with access to the platform and its services.
• Legal obligation: Processing is required to comply with applicable laws, including AML regulations, gaming regulations, and tax obligations.
• Legitimate interests: Processing is necessary for taraplay's legitimate interests, including fraud prevention, platform security, and service improvement, provided these interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
• Consent: For certain processing activities, such as marketing communications and non-essential cookies, we rely on your explicit consent. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.

05 Sharing Your Data

taraplay does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. We may share your personal data with the following categories of recipients, strictly on a need-to-know basis:

• Payment processors: GCash, Pay Maya, BPI, BDO, and Metrobank, to process your deposits and withdrawals.
• Identity verification providers: Third-party KYC and AML service providers who assist us in verifying your identity and complying with regulatory obligations.
• Game software providers: Licensed game developers and content providers whose games are available on the taraplay platform, to the extent necessary to deliver gameplay.

taraplay retains your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, accounting, or reporting requirements.

As a general rule, taraplay retains account data and transaction records for a minimum of five (5) years following the closure of your account, in accordance with applicable AML regulations and gaming regulatory requirements in the Philippines. KYC documents are retained for the same minimum period.

Where personal data is no longer required for any lawful purpose, taraplay will securely delete or anonymise it in accordance with our internal data retention and disposal procedures.

07 Data Security

taraplay implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, destruction, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include:

• 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmitted between your device and the taraplay platform.
• Encryption of sensitive data at rest, including passwords (stored as salted hashes) and financial information.

10 Minors

The taraplay platform is strictly intended for adults aged 21 years and above. taraplay does not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 21. If we become aware that personal data has been collected from a person under 21, we will take immediate steps to delete that data and close the associated account.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided personal data to taraplay, please contact us immediately at the details provided in Section 13 so that we can take appropriate action.

11 International Data Transfers

taraplay primarily processes and stores personal data within the Philippines. In some cases, personal data may be transferred to and processed in other countries — for example, where we use cloud infrastructure or service providers with operations outside the Philippines.

Where such transfers occur, taraplay ensures that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your personal data, including contractual data protection clauses with the receiving party that meet the standards required under Philippine data protection law. We will not transfer your personal data to a country that does not provide an adequate level of data protection without your consent or without appropriate safeguards in place.
